title: Build your site
description: What you can do from the dashboard, with a coding agent, and through onboarding.
---

There are three ways into a Vizitka site. Two work today, and one is still a
prototype.

## Use the dashboard

The dashboard is where you see pages, preview changes, merge them to put them
live, inspect history, write posts, manage files and domains, read enquiries,
configure integrations, and control access to your account.

A site's code is a set of files, and the Pages screen shows them: each page,
the layouts and components pages share, and the words of each language. The
code view is read-only. The dashboard can add a page, but renaming one or
editing a file is a job for a connected coding agent.

Posts are the exception. Once an agent has set the blog up, you write, publish
and edit each post yourself on the [Posts](/dashboard/posts/) screen, with no
agent involved.

Read the [dashboard guide](/dashboard/) for each screen.

## Connect your coding agent

A coding agent can read your site, make changes on a branch of its own,
preview them, and merge them once you approve the result. Until then its
branch waits on the [Branches](/dashboard/branches/) screen, where you can look
it over and merge it yourself. It can work on pages and their settings,
languages, layouts and components, stylesheets, files, forms, site-wide
details, and the site's own JavaScript.

The connection uses your normal Vizitka sign-in. You choose whether the agent
may only read or may also edit, and you can disconnect it at any time from the
Account screen.

[Connect your agent](/connect-your-agent/) has the step-by-step command.

## Use guided setup

The onboarding screens show the intended flow: connect Instagram, answer a few
questions, choose a direction, and receive a site. This is a prototype today.
It does not import media, extract a style, or create a site yet. Use the
dashboard or a coding agent for work you need now.
